Mérida is a state located at the west side of Venezuela.
Its boundaries are:
North: Zulia and Trujillo
South: Táchira and Barinas
East: Trujillo
West: part of Táchira and Zulia
Its capital is Ciudad de Mérida.
Mérida is one of the main touristic destinations of Venezuela. It is known for its beautiful mountain landscapes and its Andean weather. It also is an important cultural place, because of its museums and attractions.
